  29. I apologize.  My point still stands however.  I was personally flamed for 
  30. asking about a release date back in January by the person who my recent post 
  31. was directed to.  His point was to stop filling this group with senseless 
  32. babble (like this thread) that isn't related to LW.  Since then I've seen many 
  33. more posts from the same person about the same thing - babbling.  I made the 
  34. point that he was filling the group with exactly what he was complaining 
  35. about.

  63. Sorry for the childish nature of this entire thread.  I'm sure all of US will 
  64. be much more happy when LW 4.0 is sitting happily on OUR desktops.  Until 
  65. then, if the frequent questions about shipping dates, features, and what 
  66. actually belongs in this group is annoying to you, learn how to use a threaded 
  67. newsreader with kill files.  But, as a note to the curious among us, please 
  68. keep the chatter about those things that are annoying to others to a minimum 
  69. and contained in threads.

  71. If anyone wants help setting up NewsX (a wonderful newsreader) in windows, 
  72. I'll be more than happy to walk them through setting up TIA (A SLIP emulator 
  73. for a regular login shell account), NetManage's Chameleon TCP/IP for windows, 
  74. and NewsX.  I did it for free.  It saves me quite a headache.
